Which bank account should I use for international transactions?
You can use any Canadian chequing account to send and receive international transactions. But if you need to transfer money from your home country before you arrive in Canada and you don’t already have a Canadian account, you can apply for the Scotiabank International Account.
Once you arrive in Canada, you’ll need to open a chequing or savings account to make regular international transactions. As a newcomer, you may qualify for free international money transfers with the StartRight Program. Learn more
