What is the difference between a hard token and a soft token?

ScotiaConnect has a second authentication factor that allows you to have greater security in the channel. Hard Token: It is a physical device provided by the bank that generates a security code that is used to log in to and perform monetary transactions within the banking service.

Soft Digital: Does not require a physical device and the application that provides the token number must be installed on a mobile phone.

To obtain the soft token, it is necessary to install the application called "Dispositivo Digital Scotiabank" (Scotiabank Digital Device) available in Apple store or Google Play, in order to obtain the security codes for access to and monetary transactions in banking.
