Why is my account 'view only'?

If your account is 'view only', it is likely due to one of the following reasons:

Account not linked to ScotiaCard If the account isn't linked to your ScotiaCard, you'll still see it in your Account Summary but it will be “view only”, so you won't be able to transfer funds or pay bills with that account. To link an account to your ScotiaCard, go to Account Details and select the link icon next to the account name.

Account Suspended or Restricted If the account was suspended or restricted it will no longer appear in any dropdown menus but will still appear in your Account Summary. For example, if you’ve missed payments to your Credit Card account, the account may be suspended and will not appear in the dropdown menu in the Funds Transfer section. However, you can still make a payment to the account via the Bill Payments feature. Please note that payments made to Credit Card accounts via the Bill Payments feature take up to 3 business days to process.
