I use a third-party money management app or website to help manage my finances. How does Scotiabank’s 2SV security enhancement impact these third-party services?

At Scotiabank, our priority is to protect your information and ensure the security of your banking transactions. Our enhanced 2-step verification provides you with an added layer of security against identity theft and phishing attacks.

If you share your Scotiabank sign in credentials with anyone else, you may allow them to have the same digital access to all your financial information and accounts that you do. These third-party services store your information and sign in credentials, which could be compromised if they experience a security breach.

Please refer to your applicable cardholder agreement and Digital Access Agreement for more information. Once you have enrolled into the 2SV service, these third-party service providers may no longer be able to access your financial information at Scotiabank.
