It's my first time signing in. How do I get started?

To get started with online banking:

  1. On the sign in page, select New to online banking? Activate now. You can also go to the online banking activation page
  2. Select your account type
    • If you have multiple accounts, including a chequing account with a Scotia debit card, select ScotiaCard
    • If you don't have a ScotiaCard, select the option that matches the account type you’re setting up online banking with
  3. You’ll then be prompted to create a username and password for yourself
    • If you only have a credit card, line of credit, investment, loan, or mortgage, you’ll be asked to create a username when you sign in. After creating a username, you’ll need to use that instead of your account number every time you sign in
    • If you have a ScotiaCard, you can sign in with either your username or debit card number
  4. You’ll be asked to agree to our Digital Access Agreement, which sets out your rights and obligations as well as Scotiabank’s
  5. Once that’s done, you’re ready to start online banking
