Why aren't all my accounts displayed?
If some of your accounts aren't displaying in dropdown menus or in your Account Summary, it is likely due to one of the following reasons:
Account not linked to ScotiaCard Before you can perform transactions using an account using online and mobile banking, you first have to link the account to your ScotiaCard. If the account isn't linked to your ScotiaCard, you'll still see it in your Account Summary but it will be “view only”, so you won't be able to transfer funds or pay bills with that account. To link an account to your ScotiaCard, go to Account Details and select the link icon next to the account name.
Routine Maintenance From time to time we perform routine maintenance of our system, during which time one or more of your accounts may not be displayed, some transactions may be temporarily unavailable, and your account balances may not yet reflect recent transactions. Periods of routine maintenance are typically very short and normal service will resume soon afterward.
Account Closed, Suspended, or Restricted If the account was closed, suspended, or restricted it won't appear in any dropdown menus or in your Account Summary. If you think any of your accounts have been closed or suspended, please visit a branch near you or give us a call so we can help you resolve the problem.
Suspicious Account Use If your account is suspected of being used for fraudulent purposes, the account will be disabled and you will not be able to perform transactions. If that's the case, a Scotiabank Customer Service Representative will contact you by phone and help you resolve the situation. This is a precautionary measure and is part of our ongoing commitment to keeping your information safe and secure.
Account Display Settings In your Account Summary Settings you can choose to either hide or display each of your accounts. If an account is missing from your Account Summary, please check this section and make sure it's not hidden.
Investment Accounts Some investment accounts are not available for certain online transactions, such as bill payments. If you're unsure about what you can and can't do with your investment accounts online, please contact your advisor.
Private Investment Counsel and Scotiatrust accounts are displayed only if requested by the client.
