What should I do if I suspect suspicious activity or fraud on my account?
If you don’t recognize a charge or you’ve shared your personal or financial information with someone who seems suspicious, contact us as soon as possible so we can help.
- If you recognize the merchant or you’ve authorized the transaction, call 1-800-472-6842
- If you don’t recognize the merchant or you’ve given your personal or financial information to someone other than Scotiabank, call 1-866-625-0561
- If you’re outside of Canada/USA, call 416-701-7200
If your Visa or Amex card is lost or stolen, you can lock it temporarily in the app to prevent unauthorized purchases.
From the app’s home screen, select your credit card or line of credit account, and then select Manage and Lock or unlock card.
