What is Scotia Households?
Scotia Households is a new feature that allows customers to bring together family members. Being part of a Scotia Household allows the bank to offer holistic advice and solutions to help household members achieve their financial goals. Members may live at different addresses, have different last names, or may not be directly related.
There are two roles in a Scotia Household:
- Host creates the household and is responsible for household administration including Sharing the household code, editing the relationship category of members, approval and removal of members, and assigning a new host when required
- Members join the household using the unique code provided by the host (member requests must be approved by the host) and they may leave the household at any time
Note:
- There is no limit to how many people can join a household, however, some offers may be limited to a certain number of members who qualify for the benefit
- Members of your household will not have access to your financial transactions or banking information at any time *
Names and anonymous combined financial information may be shared with other members for the purposes of offering and operating a household. If your household is small, it may be possible for members to determine the approximate holdings of another member.
