What happens to my Scotia SelectPay Installment Plan if I cancel my credit card?
When you cancel an eligible Scotiabank credit card, or you switch your eligible Scotiabank credit card with an active installment plan to a Scotiabank credit card that is not eligible for installment plans, the installment plans will automatically get cancelled.
When that happens, the remaining outstanding installment balance under the installment plan will be re-applied to the balance owing on your Scotiabank credit card account (eligible or not).
The remaining outstanding installment balance will incur interest at the annual interest rate that applies to purchases on your Scotiabank credit card account until it is paid in full.
