What happens if a credit or refund is applied to a purchase that I converted into a Scotia SelectPay installment plan?
If you receive a credit or refund (or any other reduction) for an eligible purchase that you converted to an installment plan after purchase, the credit amount is applied to the balance on your account and not directly to the amount of the installment plan. Your installment plan will not be cancelled.
If you enrolled an eligible purchase into an installment plan during in-store or online checkout and later that purchase is refunded or credited in full within 60 days from the date of the transaction, we may cancel your installment plan (even before it expires) immediately, without notice to you. You should see the cancellation of that plan on your Scotia mobile app or Scotiabank online banking.
