If my pre-authorized credit card and line of credit payment is held beyond the payment due date, will it reflect as a late payment on my account?
No, your payment will not be considered late because of this hold as long as the payment is not returned for any reason by your other financial institution (for example, insufficient funds or a closed account).
The payment date (the date the required payment was initially requested from your other financial institution by Scotiabank) will continue to be the payment date of record.
