How do posted transactions work?
To view your posted transactions:
- Go to Accounts.
- Select your credit card > Account Activity.
Posted transactions are purchases, payments, cash advances (including balance transfers), interest, fees, and other transactions that are posted to your account. Transactions can take up to 5 days to be posted.
The date shown in this account activity for a posted transaction tells you when the transaction happened (transaction date), not when it was posted to your account. On your paper or e-statement, you’ll see a transaction date (when the transaction happened) and a post date (when the transaction was posted to your account).
Payments made through cheques, branches, ABMs, or mail may take extra time to get to us and for us to post to your account.
With foreign currency transactions, the exchange rate may change from when a pending transaction happens and when it is posted. As a result, the final posted amount may be different from the original transaction amount. See the Revolving Credit Agreement (Amex/Visa cards and lines of credit) and the Mastercard Cardholder Agreement for more info about foreign currency transactions.
