How do I cancel an Interac e-Transfer?

You can cancel an Interac e-Transfer if it hasn't already been deposited into the contact’s account. If the person you're sending your e-Transfer to has Autodeposit, however, it's not possible to cancel the transfer.

To cancel the transfer:

  1. From the main navigation bar, select Move money
  2. Select Interac e-Transfer
  3. Select Transfer history from the side navigation menu
  4. From the Pending section, select the transfer you're looking to cancel
  5. Select Cancel transfer
  6. Select the account the cancelled funds should be deposited into
  7. Select Cancel transfer
