There are two ways to book rates for wires you're sending using ScotiaConnect: Getting an automatic rate and Pre-booking a rate

To get an automatic rate:

• Select the currency for your wire
• Choose "Get Automated Rate” to secure the rate in real time.
• After saving the wire payment, you will be asked to confirm the FX rate. Click on accept and your rate is booked.

To Pre-book a rate: Call your local Scotiabank branch or the Retail and Business Service Centre (RBSC) at 1-888-855-1234 to pre-book your rate. Ask for both the Market and Inverted rate. If you don’t ask for both you will only be given the Market rate. You will also receive a reference number. In ScotiaConnect select the currency for your wire Choose “Pre-booked” rate and enter the rate and rate reference number. Review the amount to make sure it’s correct. If the wire payment amount looks higher or lower than it should, enter the other rate (if you were given market and inverted) you were given. If everything looks okay, finalize the wire and submit it.
