How can I unlock a locked card?

The process for locking and unlocking a credit account is the same for both credit cards and lines of credit:

  1. Select the card you want to lock or unlock from the account summary screen
  2. Select Account settings under the Manage menu
  3. Select Account management and select the Lock or unlock card toggle to lock or unlock the account

If the credit account has multiple cards associated with it, the lock/unlock feature will lead to a separate page where you can lock or unlock each individual card.

Note: if you lock a card, all new transactions on that card will be paused. Contact Scotiabank as soon as possible if your card is lost or stolen.
