How do I cancel an Interac e-Transfer?

You can cancel an Interac e-Transfer if it hasn't already been deposited into the contact’s account. If the person you're sending your e-Transfer to has autodeposit, however, it's not possible to cancel the transfer.

To cancel the transfer:

  1. From your Accounts page, select Move money
  2. Select Interac e-Transfer
  3. Select Transfer history from the Transfer menu
  4. Find the transaction you want to cancel in the Pending section
  5. Select the arrow to access details
  6. Select Cancel Transfer
