How do I cancel an Interac e-Transfer?

You can cancel an Interac e-Transfer if it hasn't already been deposited into the contact’s account.

To cancel the transfer:

  1. From your Accounts page, select Transfers
  2. Select Interac e-Transfer
  3. Select History & Pending
  4. Find the transaction you want to cancel and select Stop Transfer

If the person you're sending your e-Transfer to has autodeposit, it's not possible to cancel the transfer.
