What do I do if my card was lost or stolen?

If you’ve lost your debit card, you can report it and request a replacement in the app:

  1. From the home screen, select your chequing account
  2. Select Manage
  3. Select Replace damaged or lost card

To report a lost credit card, please connect with Scotia chat and type in the phrase “lost card.” Live chat advisors are there to help from 8 am to 10 pm ET.

You can also temporarily lock your Visa or Amex credit card, or personal line of credit Visa access card, in the app:

  1. From the app’s home screen, select your credit card or line of credit account
  2. Select Manage
  3. Select Lock or unlock card
  4. Use the toggle to lock or unlock your card

Locking your card means all new purchases, cash advances, or other transactions, either online or in person, will be declined. If you find the card, you can unlock it from the app or use it with the correct PIN at an ABM or merchant, and then continue using it as usual.
