How will 2SV push notifications be affected if I change my username or password?
If you change your password, 2SV push notifications will not be affected. If you change your username, you’ll be required to deactivate 2SV push notifications and will need to set it up again.
To deactivate 2SV push notifications:
- Go to scotiabank.com and select the Sign In button
- Select Need help signing in?
- Select I am not getting 2-step verification (2SV) push notifications
- Enter your username or card number and password
- Complete the security check
- Confirm the device where you're deactivating push notifications
Next, you'll need to activate 2SV again before you can continue online banking on your mobile app or untrusted device.
