How does 2-step verification work when I’m travelling?

We may send a verification code to your phone number. Please contact your telecom provider for instructions on how to receive text messages or phone calls while outside of Canada.

If you have a mobile device, you might want to consider downloading the Scotia mobile app to enrol in 2SV push notifications. 2SV push notifications only require a WiFi network and are the most convenient way to help guard accounts against fraud.
