To set up or manage 2-step verification on the Scotia app:
- Make sure your mobile device can be locked (with a passcode or biometric authentication, like face or fingerprint ID)
- From the app’s home screen, select More
- Select Sign-in and security
- Finally, select 2-step verification
2-step verification (2SV) is a security requirement to help protect your account. If you've already set up 2SV and need to set it up on a new device, first deactivate 2SV on the original device. When you sign in to your Scotiabank account on the new device, you'll prompted to set up 2SV again.
