Can I switch the mobile device that I receive 2SV push notifications on?
You can switch your primary mobile device anytime. There are two ways to switch your device.
Option 1
If you still have the device that you're receiving 2SV push notifications on and would like to receive push notifications on a new device:
- Sign into the Scotia app on your current device
 - Go to the More menu
 - Select Sign-in and security
 - Select 2-step verification
 - Select Deactivate 2SV
 - Sign into the Scotia app on your new device
 - Select Activate 2SV on the next screen
 
Option 2
If you don't have your device and you'd like to receive push notifications on a new device:
- Go to scotiabank.com and select Sign In
 - Select Need help signing in?
 - Select I am not getting 2-step verification (2SV) push notifications
 - Enter your username or card number and password
 - If you're prompted to answer security questions, correctly answer the security questions
 - If you're prompted to enter a verification code, get the verification code we sent to your phone number and enter it
 - Confirm the device you’d like to remove 2SV from
 - Sign into the Scotia app on your new device
 - Select Activate 2SV on the next screen
